Salted Nutmeg Maple butter

“Salted Nutmeg Maple Butter is a creamy and savory fall flavor to slap on your next warm crossaint, French toast, pancake, waffle, or muffin. YUM!” -Franny

I loOve Fall! I also love butter. So I’ve decided to dedicate a whole week to all the butters I love for Fall. Lord have mercy, this could quite possibly be the most exciting thing happening all week!!

This Salted Nutmeg butter is so stinkin’ good, you can literally put it on anything!!

MOM TRICK!!

Ok, here is a mom trick that I keep in back pocket that makes all the customers thing you are the best cook. Make all these fun butters, and save in your refrigerator with your other regular butters. So anytime you buy croissants or those muffins that no one will eat cause you got them on sale…well, just slap some of your favorite butter on them and they will all dissapear. Voila!

Having a stash of yummy butters can be super handy come party time as well!

Savory butters are good for:

  • breakfast items like english muffins, croissants, toast, or bagels
  • add to FRENCH TOAST!! yes, please, please, please.
  • toasted baguettes (I put anything on a baguette. Guilty as charged!)

How to make Salted Nutmeg Maple Butter

Promise these butters will be too easy to make and this might become a problem. Good problems and happy full bellies!

Get all ingredients, a mixer (optional), a spatula, and a long piece of plastic.

In your mixer, add the softened (room temp) salted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Mix well, and scrape the bowl to get the bottom mixed in as well.

Have your piece of plastic on the counter and scrape out the butter mix and spread on the plastic making groves for the syrup to stay in.

Drizzle syrup in the grooves of the butter, then sprinkle with sea salt, and place a board under the plastic. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Once the butter has become a solid again, roll one side on top of the next to make a log. Tie the ends and store in the refrigerator or freezer. Use on muffins, pancakes, French toast, waffles, crossaints, or more!
