This cilantro lime avocado vinaigrette dressing is perfect for any salad! Its creamy, tangy, and savory flavor makes it an excellent match for a marinade, dressing, or simple salad vinaigrette. Its perfect tartness seals everyone’s palette, completing a meal.
Easy to make dressing!
Here are the instructions 😆:
- Get a large blender like this.
- Take all ingredients (cilantro —with stems, avocado, green onions, sour cream, salt and pepper, and lime juice) and throw in the blender.
- Measure out the water, vinegar, and oil.
- Then, blend your heart out— Cause it’s done! Drip onto a salad and enjoy!
Don’t make it complicated.
You are going to coarsely chop the vegetables and throw them in the blender🙌. I enjoy this simplicity😌.

using as a marinade.
If using it as a marinade, consider using a ziplock bag or container and marinating for up to 8 hours. When I marinate meat, I cut the meat first so the flavor can penetrate all sides. For example, cut the breasts into slices for cilantro lime chicken tenders and place at least 2 cups of the dressing in the ziplock bag.
Other ways to use it:
- Over rice (make cilantro-lime rice!)
- salads
- dip for a vegetable medley
- marinade for chicken or pork.
how to store it:
- air-tight liquid storage container
- keep in the refrigerator for up to 6 days
- unable to be in the freezer
Such a versatile dressing

Since it is a vinaigrette, you can use it to marinade, cook straight meat or vegetables, or use it as a dressing.
There are so many possibilities! What else would you want to do with it? Tell me more!
I used it for my Chicken Taco Cobb Salad. It sealed the amazing-ness deal!
